The Lewes Historical Society recently announced its winter hours.

The Lewes Historical Society recently announced its winter hours for the Cannonball House Maritime Museum, the Zwaanendael Club Museum Store and the Ryves Holt House.

The Lewes Historical Society’s Maritime Museum, located on the corner of Bank and Front streets, displays the society’s maritime collection. The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from January through March. Donations will be accepted in lieu of a set admission fee.

The Zwaanendael Club Museum Store, 302 Savannah Road, is the society’s museum store, featuring iconic Lewes products, books, apparel, local art, food, and crafts. The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays from January through March. Specialty openings include from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 16 and Feb. 20.

The Ryves Holt House, located on the corner of Second and Mulberry streets in Lewes, is the oldest house still standing on it's original foundation in the state. The house was recently added to the First State National Historical Park. Hours will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays from January through March. Specialty openings include from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 16 and Feb. 20.

The public also is encouraged to visit the renovated campus, 110 Shipcarpenter St., Lewes. Also at the Campus, is a free exhibit in the Hiram Rodney Burton House called “Historic Lewes, Delaware,” open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Friday.
