Milford police are asking the public’s help in identifying two women who passed counterfeit money at two area stores.

The incidents took place between 9 and 10 p.m. May 2 at the Walgreens store at 648 N. Dupont Blvd. and the Rite Aid store at 677 N. Dupont Blvd, Det. Timothy Maloney said.

In both cases, two black women went into the store and used eight counterfeit $50 bills to buy merchandise.

The bills were not identified as counterfeit until after the women had left, Maloney said.
