The Brandywine Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host a pet adoption event June 17 and 18 at Bellevue State Park, 800 Carr Road, Wilmington.
More than 1,000 animals will be available for adoption, and the BVSPCA is looking to send home at least 800 animals. The pet adoption has been made possible because of a grant from the Petco Foundation.
Pets will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and ready to go home the same day. Admission is free, and the adoption fee is $20.
“We found homes for 886 animals during our Mega Adoption Event in December of last year, so we’re looking forward to similar success in this upcoming event,” said Adam Lamb, BVSPCA CEO. “With the event in Wilmington this time, we’re excited about reaching even more adopters across our service areas in Pennsylvania and Delaware.”
