Paddle Second Chance’s fifth annual paddle and kayak race and fundraiser will be on June 24, and PSC is targeting to raise more than $40,000 for Operation Second Chance.

During the past five years, Paddle Second Chance has raised more than $100,000 for OSC, a nonprofit organization committed to serving wounded veterans and their families as they recover and transition back to active duty or civilian life.

PSC 2017 will kick off with registration, packet pick-up and a PSC happy hour from 4 to 8 p.m. June 23 at The Starboard, 2009 Highway One, Dewey Beach. Race day will be June 24 at Holts Landing State Park, Holts Landing Road, Rehoboth Beach. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., opening remarks at 10:15 a.m. and races at 11 a.m. The day will wrap-up with an awards ceremony and community picnic from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
