Kevin Bowne, an 11th-grader, represented Caesar Rodney High School and Delaware as a National Youth Delegate to the 2017 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University on June 25-30.

The Washington Youth Summit on the Environment is a student leadership conference designed to develop and encourage future leaders in the field of environmental studies and conservation in the 21st century. George Mason University, along with National Geographic and the Smithsonian National Zoo, led a group of 250 students from across the country in a week-long study of leadership in environmental science and conservation.
