Carney is an attorney with an established practice in real estate and land use law involving a wide range of transactional and litigation matters. He represents individuals and businesses in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing and development of real property. A former assistant solicitor of the city of Wilmington, Carney had represented the city as a lender in private and public residential and commercial real estate transactions. During his time as assistant solicitor, Carney represented Wilmington’s Real Estate and Housing Department, Planning Department, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment. Carney’s experience and his thorough understanding of municipal, land use and administrative law are beneficial to his clients seeking land use and other administrative approvals.
Carney is a native Delawarean who graduated from Salesianum High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in finance from Pennsylvania State University. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Temple School of Law.
