The Dalí Quartet will bring its mix of classical roots and Latin soul to the Bethel
Methodist Church Hall, 129 W. Fourth St., Lewes, for Coastal Concerts’ first offering of 2018 at 2 p.m. Jan. 20.
In addition to contemporary works by Juan Ramirez and Javier Álvarez, the Dalí’s Jan. 20 Coastal Concert will feature Astor Piazzolla’s “Tango Ballet” and Claude Debussy’s “String Quartet in G Minor.” Based in Philadelphia, the quartet is comprised of violinists Domenic Salerni and Carlos Rubio, violist Adriana Linares and cellist Jesús Morales Matos.
The members of the Dalí Quartet are from Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the U.S.; and have studied at institutions such as the Cleveland Institute of Music, Yale University, Indiana University Bloomington and the Simón Bolivar Conservatory in Caracas, Venezuela.
Tickets for the concert are $35, with free admission to those 19 and younger with an adult. Discounted tickets are available at $10 for students 19 and older and for active duty and retired career military personnel. Valid IDs are required for student and military discounts.
