The Delaware Department of Transportation will hold a public input workshop from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Cape Henlopen High School cafeteria, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, on proposed intersection improvements at state Route 1 and Minos Conaway Road and corridor-wide improvements along Plantation Road in Sussex County.

The purpose of these projects is to preserve mobility to local residents and businesses while providing roadway improvements that would reduce congestion, improve safety and accommodate anticipated growth in local and seasonal traffic.

Attendees will have the opportunity to review display maps with proposed alternatives and provide comments. The project team members will be in attendance to answer questions.

In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Cape Henlopen High School.

Interested persons are encouraged to express their views in writing, giving reasons for or in opposition to the proposed project. Comments will be received during the Public Workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Community Relations, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903; emailed to; or faxed to 739-2092. The comment deadline will be March 16.
