The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the Division of Public Health announced the carbon filtration system ordered for the town of Blades’ drinking water system arrived Feb. 14.

DNREC crews began work that day, working with DPH and the town, to install and connect the filter to the town’s water supply system.

This comes after reports showed three of the town’s drinking water wells have concentrations of perfluorinated compounds above the human health advisory level and a drinking and cooking ban has been put in place.
