The fourth Annual Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Music Festival will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at Independence Hall, the clubhouse in Independence, 23767 Samuel Adams Circle, Millsboro.

SoDel Fest will feature up to 20 dishes prepared by regional chefs that are paired with more than 40 wines, beers or spirits. The festival also offers live music.

A competition between local chefs will be featured.

“This year, we will host ‘The Battle of the Beaches: Lewes versus Rehoboth,’” said Stacy LaMotta, founder of Creative Coastal Connections Corp.

The “Chopped”-style competition will include a mystery basket of ingredients. Each team must create a dish using the items.

In addition to the main festival, SoDel Fest will hold “A Taste of Tuscany,” a six-course wine dinner, with winemaker Conte Manfredo di San Bonifacio on Sept. 28 at The Clubhouse at Baywood, 32267 Clubhouse Way, Millsboro.

SoDel Fest has raised more than $60,000 for nonprofits. This years’ beneficiaries are Children & Families First and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware.
