The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association announced that Delmarva Christian Schools Athletic Director Jim Berger was recognized as a certified athletic administrator.

“To earn this distinction, Jim has demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination,” said NIAAA spokesperson Mike Blackburn.

The NIAAA further cites Berger as one of a group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.

"I am very excited about the educational-based athletic opportunities that exist at Delmarva Christian Schools," said Berger. "The NIAAA certification process has been a tremendous help in building a foundation for my professional development as an Athletic Director. My desire is to continue furthering my development as an educational professional while building an athletic program that is safe and enjoyable for our DCS student athletes and community."
