The men and women of the Seaford Police Department supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October.
Through a collaborative effort between Western Sussex Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 9 and the Seaford Police Department, officers with the Seaford department were permitted a temporary uniform change — the officers wore a baseball style hat with a pink Seaford Police Patch on it.
In addition to the uniform change, the hats were available for sale for $15 with proceeds to benefit the Allen Cancer Care Center at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
Police Chief Robert Kracyla, along with several officers and members of the police department, presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to Nanticoke on Oct. 30.
“The Seaford Police Department in collaboration with the Western Sussex County FOP Lodge No. 9 are proud to support the Nanticoke Health Foundation’s work in providing resources to positively impact the mission of the foundation and the community,” said Kracyla.
