Sex offender charged with burglary, theft

Delaware State Police are asking for assistance locating a Laurel man with multiple warrants out for his arrest.

On Thursday, November 1, at around 9:30 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a reported burglary on Woodland Church Road in Laurel and developed 29-year-old Matthew A. Patchett as a suspect. He is wanted on charges of second-degree burglary and felony theft. He is also wanted for failing to verify his address as a sex offender.

Patchett is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 164 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. He may be in the Laurel or Salisbury, Maryland areas.
