Tidewater Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Associates announced the hiring of Phillip Tyre as the new clinical director and doctor of physical therapy at their Milton location, 611 Federal St.
Tyre received his Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Salisbury University in 2002. In 2006, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Tyre is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association, Maryland Athletic Trainers Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association and stays active in the athletic community teaching annual courses on injury prevention to high school coaching staffs here on Delmarva.
“We are so excited about the addition of Phillip to our Milton clinic and grateful to have found such a fantastic therapist to care for our Milton community,” said Tidewater Chief Operations Officer Jennifer Walter. “His certification in Graston Technique and athletic training are notable additions to our specialty offerings in Milton. Phillip holds a certification in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization through Graston Technique LLC and is athletic training certified. He holds special interest in the treatment of multiple conditions ranging from sports orthopedic therapy, overhead and running biomechanics, post-surgical rehabilitation, pre- and post-operative joint replacement treatment, balance/neurological rehab, vestibular therapy, TMJ, pediatric rehabilitation, manual therapy, work-related injuries and auto accident rehabilitation.
