The General Federation of Women’s Clubs Zwaanendael Women’s Club hosted a bingo fundraiser Jan. 15 at Ruby Tuesday restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, where more than 100 attendees raised $1,930 for benefit Lighthouse for Broken Wings.

Lighthouse for Broken Wings is a transitional house for the homeless, dedicated to helping those without housing regain their status in the community while having a place to call home. It is a direct personal development program to improve the quality of life for individuals in the home. It is managed by registered nurse Toni Short, who herself has experienced homelessness.

Support for Lighthouse for Broken Wings is one of the Z Club’s community service programs and one of the ways it serves and improves the community.
