The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice will host the town hall meeting “Racism and Anti-Semitism: An Action Dialogue” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 26 at Trinity Faith Christian Center, 15516 New Road, Lewes.
Funded by Delaware Humanities, the open forum is co-sponsored by Women’s March Sussex and the Seaside Jewish Community.
Panelists for the program are Rabbi Michael Beals of Congregation Beth Shalom in Wilmington, chair of the Delaware Council of Faith-Based Partnerships; and James Newton, professor emeritus of Black History Studies at the University of Delaware. Gwendolyn Miller, chair of the SDARJ Education Committee and founder of Addressing Racial Microaggressions, will moderate the panel and audience discussion.
This town hall meeting will initiate an ongoing dialogue on racism and anti-Semitism.
The March 26 meeting is an exception to SDARJ’s regular schedule of town hall meetings, which are normally held on the second Tuesday of the month.
