Gov. John Carney recently released a statement on the vote in the Delaware House of Representatives to pass House Bill 38, which would allow in-person early voting at least 10 days before an election.

“Voting is our most fundamental right as Americans. We should make it easier — not harder — for all Delawareans to participate in our democratic process, and have their voices heard at the ballot box,” said Carney. “Thank you to members of the House for supporting this bill, and to Rep. Bentz for his leadership on this important issue. I look forward to continued discussions with members of the General Assembly about additional legislation that would make it easier for Delawareans to have a say in the future of our state and country, and exercise their fundamental right to vote.”
