The first class of Project SEARCH interns, who are striving to overcome a developmental disability, will finish their year of on-the-job training at Atlantic General Hospital this month.

A celebration will be held in their honor at 4 p.m. June 4 at the Atlantic General Hospital Café, 9733 Healthway Drive, Berlin, Maryland.

Representatives from Atlantic General Hospital and its Project SEARCH Partners — Worcester County Public Schools, the Worcester County Developmental Center and Maryland Department of Education’s Division of Rehabilitation Services — as well as other community agencies, will be on hand.

Project SEARCH is a high school transition program, with more than 500 locations in the U.S. and 10 other countries, whose primary objective is to secure competitive employment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

RSVP to syonker@atlanticgeneral.org by noon June 4.
