Cat & Mouse Press announced the publication of “More Sandy Shorts,” a new collection of short stories by Nancy Powichroski Sherman.

The book is the follow-up to her anthology “Sandy Shorts” and contains 12 stories set in and around Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Cape May and Chincoteague.

Sherman’s “Sandy Shorts” was awarded a regional first place by Delaware Press Association and national first place by the National Federation of Press Women. Her short stories have also been published in several anthologies: “The Beach House,” “Beach Love” and “Beach Pulp” from Cat & Mouse Press; “Rehoboth Reimagined” and soon-to-be-released “Scenes: A Collaboration of Coastal Writers and Artists” from Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild; and “The Divine Feminine: An Anthology of Seaside Scribes,” “She Writes: Visions and Voices of Seaside Scribes” and the soon-to-be-released “Seaside Scribes: An Anthology of Women Rising” from Salt Water Media. Sherman lives in coastal Delaware and writes stories that are influenced by life in a beach town.

The cover of “More Sandy Shorts” features the work of Lewes artist Patti Shreeve. In a playful homage to the earlier book, a copy of “Sandy Shorts” can be seen on the cooler next to a beach chair set up along the Delaware Bay, with the Lewes-Cape May Ferry in the distance.

“More Sandy Shorts” is available at Bethany Beach Books, 99 Garfield Parkway; Browseabout Books, 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach; Odysea, 110 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach; Biblion, 205 Second St., Lewes; Seaside Country Store, 1208 Coastal Highway, Fenwick Island; Hockessin Book Shelf, 7179 Lancaster Pike; The Greyhound — An Indie Bookstore, 9 N.
