Trinity Logistics, in conjunction with the Trinity Foundation, continues to support Nanticoke Health Services and the health of the surrounding communities with its annual events: the Big Pink Volleyball Tournament in Georgetown and the Heart & Sole 5K in Seaford.

To kick off the year’s fundraising activities, Trinity held its sixth annual Big Pink Volleyball Tournament on March 9 at Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown. Twenty-seven teams — five of which were from Nanticoke — competed while dressed in pink or themed costumes to help raise funds for the Allen Cancer Center at Nanticoke.

Less-than-stellar weather didn’t stop supporters from lacing up their sneakers April 20 for Trinity’s ninth annual Heart & Sole 5K. Participants gathered at Trinity Logistics in Seaford to walk or run to raise funds for Nanticoke’s Cardiac Rehabilitation department to purchase new equipment for recovering cardiac patients.

Employees from Trinity Logistics and Nanticoke Health Services gathered June 17 for the unveiling of the check total from the two events. Greg Massey and Heather Hearn of Trinity presented Nanticoke with a check for $15,000 to promote healthy lifestyles and to raise awareness for cancer and heart disease within the surrounding communities.
