The annual Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park birdseed sale is underway.
The annual sale has provided an economical way to stock up on seeds for the winter and a fundraising opportunity for the FOCHSP.
The items available, all premium seeds, include various types of sunflower seeds, peanuts, thistle, safflower, white millet, corn, suet and a number of types of wild birdseed mixes. There are more than 20 choices as to the variety and size of bag.
The pick-up date is Oct. 20, and orders may be placed until Oct. 9.
Order forms are available at the Park Office and Seaside Nature Center at Cape Henlopen State Park, 15099 Cape Henlopen Drive, Lewes, or downloaded at friendsofcapehenlopen.org. Prices are listed on the order form, and Friends members receive a 10% discount.
Completed forms should be sent, along with check, to Birdseed Sale, c/o FOCHSP, P.O. Box 132, Nassau, DE 19969.
Seed can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the parks’ maintenance garage. Friends volunteers will help with loading.
