Nanticoke Health Services announced registered nurse Tanya Seipp was named Nurse of the Month for August 2019.
Seipp began her career with Nanticoke Health Services 30 years ago. During her time at Nanticoke she has served as a staff nurse, triage nurse, relief charge nurse, preceptor, Cerner educator, lay counselor and mentor.
Seipp was nominated for the award by several of her peers and was honored for this award because of the contributions she has made to Nanticoke’s Emergency Department and to the lives of her patients.
“She gives 100% every day and goes above and beyond to be kind, gentle and understanding,” coworkers wrote in her nomination. “She provides high-quality and safe care and ensures that every one of her orientees does the same. This emergency department and countless nurses would not be the same without her. We are grateful to have her as a part of our foundation in the emergency department.”
Seipp said she credits her successful nursing career to the love and support of her husband Steve and her two sons, Justin and Jacob, the latter of whom just entered the Marines.
