New Year's Part 2
1. Audio storm to hit Milton
A musical hurricane will sweep through SoDel this weekend named Kategory 5, according to the World Meteorological Organization.
Kategory 5 brings a mixed bag of tunes, varying from classic and progressive rock to pop from the ‘70s and ‘80s.
The group was the 102.9 WMGK house band from 2016-2017 and had the honor of opening for Joan Jett and Boston, and Taylor Dayne and Eddie Money.
Considering attention to detail is a staple of the group, you’d think every song they cover sounds like a tribute act of that band.
Boasting three and four-part harmonies with both male and female lead vocals, to layered guitars and keyboards, the Newark-based Kategory 5 offers a dynamic quality to every show.
You can witness the hurricane yourself at 8 p.m., Saturday. Tickets are $20 to $25.
