Democrat for 27th District Representative


Each candidate was asked to respond to three questions.

1.  What are the top issues you will address in your campaign and what are your plans for moving those issues forward?

Improving education.  Hope to move several issues raised during the consolidation taskforce, such as: Transportation, Metal Health professionals in our schools, and school safety.

2.  What makes you uniquely qualified for the political office you seek?

 Held the position for the past 10 years.

3.  What community groups are you involved with and in what capacity?

Glasgow Lions Club, currently 2nd Vice President; Life member of the National Guard Association of the United States, American Legion Post #30, Veterans Collation member.

Profession/employment:  Military 36 years,  State Representative 10 years (since Nov 08)

Education:  HS Diploma - William Penn H. S. (1965); BS - Columbia Southern University; Graduate - USAF War College

Political experience: 10 years State Representative. 

Current committee assignments: Chair, House Education Committee; Chair, House Veteran Affairs Committee; Member, House Transportation and Infrastructure; Member, House Health and Human Services Committee.  Recently Chaired the School Consolidation Taskforce.
