In a battle of unbeatens atop the Delaware wrestling mountain, Smyrna High School knocked off Cape Henlopen Wednesday night 47-12 at Cape.

The Eagles entered the match 4-0, ranked #1 in Division I, according to The News Journal, while the Vikings were 9-0 and ranked #2.

But the Eagles won five of the first six matches including three by pin to build a 28-3 lead on the way to the dominating victory.

138 - Vincent Diego (Cape) over Jack Davis (Smyrna) by decision 3-2.

145 - Chase Archangelo (Smyrna) over Ezekiel Bean (Cape) by major decision 11-1.

Smyrna competes in the Lancer Invitational in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Jan. 21, then comes home to host Polytech on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Cape travels to Dover to take on the Senators Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
