Lofland Park Center, a 110-bed Genesis HealthCare affiliated Skilled Nursing Facility in Seaford, announced in January it raised nearly $12,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Lofland Park Center offers ShortStay, Post-hospital Rehabilitation and LongTerm Care services, including Memory Support services for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

More than 20 participants from Lofland Park Center joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. For their achievement, Lofland Park Center will be presented with a trophy for being one of two teams to raise more than $10,000 within Genesis. Lofland Park Center raised the second most funds of nearly 400 Genesis HealthCare centers nationwide. Genesis HealthCare raised over $165,000 company-wide in 2019 and has raised more than $1 million in the past 5 years for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“I was inspired by Lofland Park Center and Genesis HealthCare participants nationwide joining in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said CEO George V. Hager Jr. “With the funds raised, the Alzheimer’s Association will be able to provide much needed education, support services and care to families affected by this devastating disease, as well as fund critically-needed Alzheimer’s research.”
