Rehoboth Beach suspends public meetings
Rehoboth Beach is suspending all public commission and committee meetings until further notice as a precaution due to coronavirus, the city announced March 13.
The commissioners’ regular meeting will be held at 3 p.m. March 20, with a condensed agenda to vote on the fiscal 2020-21 budget. This meeting will not be open to the public but will be available to livestream at cityofrehoboth.civicweb.net/portal.
All city-permitted special events are canceled through April. The decision to suspend public meetings and events was based on the Gov. John Carney’s state of emergency to prepare for spread of coronavirus, or COVID-19, and recommendations to practice social distancing and reduce the number of large gatherings.
